Sophie was a lovely French women who my family befriended while living in south western France. When my parents met Sophie she was cooking in a small local bistro. She was known for using fresh seasonal ingredients in her simple country cooking. It is from Sophie's kitchen in France which much of our menu is based. Many of our recipes came from our friend Sophie and her wonderful simplicity of flavors. For this we honor her in naming our bistro.
